Prokies in the NFL: Week 9

By Brett Smith | November 11
Clark fumble return 2

While it was not such a great weekend for the Hokies, the Prokies had one of their best weekends yet! There was tons of excitement as we tip the halfway point of the NFL season.

Offense

Duane Brown

The Seahawks were handed their second loss of the season from the Buffalo Bills. Brown and the Seahawks offense almost led comeback, but the Bills slammed the door making it a 44-34 loss. Brown is still ranked in the top five guards per PFF grades!

Logan Thomas

Thomas recorded three receptions for 28 yards this week, putting him at 24 receptions and 236 yards on the year. He's averaging 9.8 yards a reception and also has three touchdowns so far!

Defense

Chuck Clark

Clark led the Ravens defense this week to a win over the Colts with two tackles, a pass deflection, and a 65-YARD SCOOP AND SCORE! Poor Phillip Rivers......

Terrell Edmunds

Terrell recorded five tackles this week in their grinding win to defeat a struggling Cowboys team. He has 32 total tackles on the season.

Tremaine Edmunds

Tremaine had his best game of the year this week in their shootout against the Seahawks. He recorded 11 tackles, a sack, two TFLs, and a pass deflection!

Kendall Fuller

Kendall recorded six tackles in their close loss to the Giants this past Sunday. He still ranks 7th among cornerbacks in the NFL per PFF grades.

Kyle Fuller

Kyle recorded two tackles and a pass deflection in their loss to the Titans.

Tim Settle

Big Tim recorded a tackle and a sack this week against the Giants.

The Joey Slye Section

Joey this week was 1-3 on field goals, but was tasked with another 65+ yarder. He remains overall solid for 'normal range' this season at 19-20 from 20-49 yards.

Bonus Section: Coaching Special!

Bruce Arians and the Bucs went on to uh.....nevermind. Next section please.

UNC VT

Welcome to the Terror Dome my fellow Hokies. I am a 2019 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Agribusiness along with minors in Communication Studies and Entrepreneurship. I come from a Hokie family. My mom, dad, sister, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, two cousins….you get the point, I bleed maroon and orange. I can’t even remember the last time I missed a Virginia Tech football game in person or on TV, laptop, iPhone, or even radio (the 2003 Texas A&M game). I am located in the beautiful small town of Seaford, Virginia working for a coffee company in research and development. In my free time you will see me playing golf, fishing, or playing electric guitar. Yes, I know how to play Enter Sandman. So to my Sons and Daughters of Hokie Nation, START JUMPING!
