10 Minute Tailgate: Syracuse
The Hokies are travelling north to play the Syracuse Orange. This week, we have a cocktail, called "The Syracuse, infusing Orange Liqueur with Orange Juice makes this a light tasty beverage, perfect for the noon kick. The main course is a BigMac tater tot cup. Big Mac Tater Tot Cups
Ingredients:
1 bag Tater tots thawed
1 lb Ground Beef
12 Sliced Pickles
1cup Shredded Lettuce
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
Dash Black Pepper
Dash Sesoned Salt
Dash Granulated Garlic
Special Sauce
½ cup mayo
1/4cup ketchup
1/8 cup Sweet Relish
Procedure:
Preheat oven to 425
Place 5 thawed tots in each section of greased muffin pan smush with small cup to create base. Bake until golden brown Approx 15-20 min.
Crumble and Brown ground beef and season with Pepper, Salt and Granulated Garlic. Drain and set aside
In Small Bowl combine Mayo, ketchup, and relish and set aside
Cut cheese slices into quarters
Assembly
Add cheese to bottom followed by pickle slice. Next, Spoon beef into cup and top with lettuce and drizzle sauce on top. Enjoy!
The Syracuse
Ingredients:
½ oz Cointreau
1.5oz Dry Vermouth
2 oz Orange Juice
Splash Lemon Juice
Splash Grenadine
Sugar for rim
Orange slice for Garnish
Procedure:
Combine Cointreau, Vermouth, OJ, Lemon Juice, and Grenadine in shaker and shake with Ice to Combine.
Pour into sugar rimmed glass and garnish with Orange Slice.
