2022 Safety Commits to Virginia Tech
Midnight commitment announcements aren't always the norm, but they happen. This time with 2022 safety target Malcolm Jones who comes out of Leesburg, Georgia. He took to his Twitter at midnight on Sunday night to make his decision known to the world.

Jones measured up to be 6-1, 185 pounds in his most recent round of measurements. He has a natural knack of using his speed and athleticism to make plays happen for his team. Justin Hamilton and company plans to capitalize on this very athletic athlete in Jones who can play multiple positions on the field.
As of now, Jones is unranked on multiple sites, but don't be surprised if this changes soon. His natural ability at multiple positions should earn him a rating before the end of the 2022 recruiting cycle.
The Hokies offered Malcolm Jones back in March and have held steady communication with him since. Other schools that showed interest in Jones were Liberty, MTSU, and Western Kentucky. Fortunately for the Hokies, their constant contact with Jones made him decide that Blacksburg would be his next home.
Jones visited Blacksburg during the June 18th weekend and hasn't looked back since. Welcome Malcolm Jones to the Hokie family, as he becomes the tenth commitment of the 2022 class and the second commitment out of the state of Georgia.
