Ramon Brown, 2022 RB Prospect

With recruits planning visits and also cutting down their top lists, it has been a steady week for Virginia Tech in terms of recruiting. Let's look at what has been going on inside the world of Virginia Tech Football Recruiting and what you should be noting going forward:

7 Moves to 7 - Ramon Brown announced on Thursday of this week his Top 7 schools that he will be focusing on in his recruitment. The Hokies were among that seven, with others like Penn State, South Carolina, and West Virginia joining the pack.

Brown is a 5-11, 202 pound running back prospect out of Manchester High School in Midlothian, Virginia. Currently, he is rated as a .9247 (4-Star) according to 247 Sports and also holds the 191st spot in 2022 national rankings on the same site. As of now, it is looking like the main schools in pursuit of Brown are the Hokies, Penn State, and Maryland. On June 25th, Ramon Brown will be taking his official visit to Virginia Tech in a very important date for the Hokies.

Scheduling Visits - We have seen a good handful of recruits planning their visits to Blacksburg for the summer month of June. Let's run over some of the newest announcements:

Charlie Kenrich - Tight End (0.8600 - 3 Star) for June 4th

Jakson LaHue - Offensive Tackle (NR - Unranked) for June 11th

Tucker Holloway - Wide Receiver (0.8400 - 3 Star) for June 11th

Jack Nickel - Tight End (0.8784 - 3 Star) for June 11th

Major Everhart - All Purpose Back (0.8416 - 3 Star) for June 18th

Mike Jackson - Wide Receiver (0.8527 - 3 Star) for June 18th

Ike White - Wide Receiver (0.8500 - 3 Star) for June 18th

New Look for Recruiting Staff - The Virginia Tech Recruiting Office has a new look to it now, with some new hires being made. First off, Beau Davidson has been promoted to Director of Recruiting for the Hokies and will lead most of the recruiting plans going forward. Next, Leah Joseph has been promoted to be our new Director of On-Campus Recruiting to manage recruiting events during gamedays and during the offseason. And last, but not least, Lino Lupinetti has been promoted to Assistant Director of Personnel and Recruiting.

All three of these spots have helped the Hokies fill up some holes in the staff. It will be great to have the recruiting office back to its full potential and ready to make some moves.
