Khalib Johnson, 2022 DUAL QB from Alabama

2022 DUAL QB Khalib Johnson announced on Thursday that he has narrowed his college decision down to Louisville, USF, Kansas, and Virginia Tech. Khalib has made it clear that he wants to make his commitment decision earlier in his recruitment process to better focus on his football.

The 6-2, 200 pound QB is out of Pinson Valley, Alabama and is currently ranked at 15th for Dual-Threat QBs in the country, according to 247 Sports. He also is ranked at 17th for the 2022 recruits coming out of Alabama. The commitment of Johnson would mark the first Virginia Tech commit of the 2022 recruiting cycle.

It is to be noted that Khalib Johnson has a very good relationship with Virginia Tech 2021 RB Commit, Kenji Christian. Both coming out of Pinson Valley and having played football together for some time, you would think that Kenji Christian would be vital in the push for Johnson's commitment.

As of right now, it is looking as if Louisville is in the lead to gain Khalib's commitment. However, a large surge from the Hokies may prove to be successful, as the Hokies have come on strong since their offer. Khalib has planned to make his commitment decision on February 20th.
