Germantown WR, Kody Jones, released his Top 10 List via Twitter on Sunday Afternoon. The Hokies were one of the ten teams that were chosen for the 2022 wide receiver.

With an offer coming in April of last year, the Hokies have been in the competitive mix for the 4-Star WR. Some of the other schools that have shown to be in the race for Jones are Auburn, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Something to note here is that Tennessee was thought to be the leader in the recruitment of Jones, however after NCAA investigations for the football program this may not be the case anymore.

Currently, Jones is ranked by 247 Sports at the 279th spot nationally with a state ranking (TN) of 9th. And with having one more season left, Jones will look to go even higher in the rankings during his recruitment.

The 5'11, 180 pound WR is being primarily recruited by Running Backs Coach Adam Lechtenberg. During his time with the Hokies, Coach Lechtenberg has been able to pull in such talent such as Alec Bryant, Amare Barno, and Kenji Christian. It will be interesting to see how Coach Lechtenberg and the Hokies staff grow this relationship into a hopeful commit.
