After another close loss at home to a ranked team, the Hokies are back at it on the road in Pittsburgh. Famously known as the, "Steel City" Pittsburgh is also called the, "City of Bridges". There are 446 bridges in Pittsburgh proper thanks largely to their confluence of rivers.

It's a cool place if you ever get to check it out. That said, Primanti Brothers is overrated. Their idea of cole slaw is wet vinegar cabbage and I won't stand for it. This is not something that is well taken by the folks at Heinz field but it can't be avoided.

This week marked the 25th anniversary of Virginia Tech's epic comeback in over Virginia in 1995. That win clinched a berth in the Sugar Bowl —sponsored by Nokia at the time if you can believe it— and capped a magical regular season that included nine consecutive wins.

That's a great look back at that game from Jimmy Robertson. There are some nice quotes from Jim Druckenmiller and the rest of the key players in a classic game and magical season.

On this week's show we discuss the Hokies-Panthers match up as well as NC State-Liberty which should be interesting. Plus we plug the scribes' work and that new podcast you may have heard about.

Check out the glamorous freeze frame below and hit play. As always, stay safe and enjoy the games!

My Dad graduated from Tech in 1981 and I’ve been attending Virginia Tech sporting events since I first moved to Blacksburg in 1988. I myself graduated in 2008 with a Communication degree. During my time as a student I was the Sports Director for WUVT and helped establish and run Planet Blacksburg, an independent student-run news website. I’ve since written for numerous publications including SBNation, Inside The ACC, and Sports Illustrated's AllHokies. Currently, I host The Justin Cates Show in addition to other contributions here at Sons of Saturday and various other sites as the need arises. I now live in a fortified compound in upstate New York with my wife and numerous animals. The smell of popcorn makes me think of Cassell.
