It's hard to tell if the crowd above is celebrating the arrival of the BYE week or another episode of my show. I choose to believe it's a bit of both.

This week I picked a bunch of games from around the country ahead of a huge weekend of college football. This is partly because there are a ton of great games on the docket, but also to make up for missing a few weeks so far.

I also poked my head into the lion's mouth that is Hokies Twitter which handled the off week with grace and aplomb as always.

It's October and INSERT LOCAL WEATHER REPORT so get out there and enjoy it, or stay inside and hunker down with all of the great sports action afoot.

My Dad graduated from Tech in 1981 and I’ve been attending Virginia Tech sporting events since I first moved to Blacksburg in 1988. I myself graduated in 2008 with a Communication degree.
