Texas OL Commits to the Hokies
Beau Davidson and the Virginia Tech Recruiting Staff have recorded yet another commitment from a Texas native. This time in the form of 2022 OT Jakson LaHue out of Azle, Texas. The offensive tackle recruit took to Twitter on Thursday to announce his decision to the world.

We see that LaHue measures up at about 6-5, 285 pounds for his latest measurements at camp. His ability to block well on the outside of the line and maintain a great deal of consistent downhill blocking as well has landed him some attention. His potential to become a solid offensive tackle for the Hokies should be noted, as Vance Vice has been known to build up top talent along the line.
According to 247 Sports, Jakson LaHue is rated at a .8527 (3-Star) and is ranked as the 868th best player in the nation. LaHue will be joining the Hokies as the seventh commitment in the 2022 recruiting class, and will serve as the third commitment out of the Lone Star State.
The Virginia Tech staff offered LaHue back in March and seemingly have been on the top of his recruitment ever since. Other schools that seemed to play a hand in LaHue's recruitment down the line were Harvard, TCU, and Yale. The bond that the Hokies' staff built with LaHue and his family seemed to lock him in early.
LaHue visited Blacksburg on a June 11th official visit. His visit went well for the Texas native, as he locked up his commitment with the staff soon after.
Welcome Jakson to the Hokie family, as he now becomes another #TX2VT commit.
