Grayson sits down with Brandon Guess, a US Navy Veteran and Billy Ray's former roommate, to talk about Veterans Day and bring awareness to Stop Soldier Suicide, a cause for Veterans suicide & mental health awareness.

Stop Soldier Suicide

Veterans are at 57% higher risk of suicide than their peers who haven't served.

Stop Soldier Suicide is here to change that.

    • Stop Soldier Suicide is a veteran-founded, veteran-led 501(c)3 organization focused solely on reducing the military suicide rate through world-class suicide intervention services. Their services are free, confidential (not DOD affiliated), and tailored to the unique needs of each individual client. Since 2010, SSS has served over 3,500 clients. To date, zero active clients have died by suicide.
    • Mission Daybreak Finalist: SSS was recently selected as 1 of 30 finalists out of 1300 submissions for the VA's challenge to fund the best solutions for military suicide prevention.
    • SSS also works with a program called ROGER - a sub-brand launched in May 2022 geared towards 18-34 year-old active duty & veterans.

This Veterans Day, Sons of Saturday is teaming up with Stop Soldier Suicide. Help us get to our fundraising goal of $250! #SonsOfUtProsim

To support our cause, you can make a donation here: SSS x SOS Fundraising Page. Thank you to everyone for listening and helping drive awareness for this great organization.

2nd-gen Hokie born and raised in northern NJ! Growing up 7+ hours away from Tech, my dad (Kevin, VT Men's Soccer '88) would bring my brother and I to one football game each year. I was blown away by the relationships my dad had formed with his friends and the Hokie community, and became enamored with Blacksburg and the Virginia Tech Football culture. As a student I served as the President of the Class of 2017 and found my calling as a VT road football game connoisseur. Neutral site games are fun too.

Favorite Hokie Memory: 35-21 Win @ The Horseshoe in 2014. Favorite Dining Hall: Owens.

On Saturdays you can find me tailgating at the German Club before joining the Section 5 family in Lane to cheer on the Hokies!

P.S. Join the Hokie Club
