Virginia Tech Softball Season Comes to an end in Tuscaloosa

On Sunday, the Virginia Tech softball season finally came to an end after a 2-3 regional loss to Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

With their backs to the wall, Emma Lemley got the ball in the circle and she shined, giving up just three runs in seven innings of work while striking out seven.
Offensively, the Hokies were unable to get anything strung together, putting up just two runs on eight hits, with both runs coming in the seventh inning off the bat of Rachel Castine, who hit a two run homer.

Alabama’s Catelyn Riley was absolutely electric, getting 20 of the game’s 21 outs before being pulled after giving up the two-run homer.
Jocelyn Briski got the last out, recording her first save of the season.
Player of the game will go to the seniors due to the season and their collegiate careers coming to a close.
