Week 2 West Coast Report: Duke Preview
Virginia Tech running back Khalil Herbert rushes for his first touchdown in a Virginia Tech uniform.

What a game last weekend, eh? I mean, that was AWESOME. If I'm being completely honest, I did not expect the Hokies to come out guns blazing like they did. I thought they'd fire a couple of shots at their own two feet before putting the Wolfpack down, but man, I've never been more proud to be wrong.

It took me until this past Saturday to realize just how much I had missed college football. To see socially distant game gatherings, the Twitter timeline popping off, and the complete and utter dominance of the offensive line made my heart sing with unfathomable joy. The season is on full tilt, so here's to hoping that the coaches and players can comply with COVID-19 protocols enough to see this thing all the way through. We've weathered the early storm, and it seems as though we're on the right path going forward.

This week, the Hokies face the Duke Blue Devils on the road at Wallace Wade Stadium. If you remember what happened last year as a Hokie fan, you should be blue blood thirsty right now. We're coming Duke. I look forward to honoring the 1999 Virginia Tech football team the right way this year.

In the Week 2 West Coast Report, Eric Avissar and I discuss our favorite moments from last week's game against NC State, the keys to the game against the Blue Devils, our incorrect first touchdown picks from last week, and introduce the brand's newest sponsor! Go cheggggggitdout!

Grayson Wimbish

Hey ya'll, I'm Grayson Wimbish, and I am a Son of Saturday. From the very beginning, Hokie has been part of my history. Both of my parents, my grandfathers, my uncles, my aunts, and a plethora of other extended relatives have all attended the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Some of my first memories of watching Virginia Tech football were with my old man in Lane Stadium, and I cherish those memories very dearly. After graduating from VPI in 2018 with a degree in Multimedia Journalism, I moved to Los Angeles, CA, where I am currently pursuing a lifelong dream of working in the film and television industry. At my core I'm a loud-mouth, cold-beer drinking, family-oriented country boy from Virginia (and that will never change). If you ever see me around on the rare occasion I'm in Blacksburg, please holler at me! I've never met a stranger in my life, and am always down to talk anything Virginia Tech related. Forever and always - GO HOKIES BABY!
