Almost immediately following Tech's massive ACC Men's Basketball Tournament title the conversation started about it being the biggest win in school history. Some of my esteemed colleagues on this very site began beating the drum and initially, I was a bit hesitant. Recency bias is a thing and in the moment of course it tasted the sweetest.

But what about some of the other big moments out there? Did this really beat them all?

I did some digging and managed to scrounge up footage even older than I am in some cases (though not much) and put it in a video for you to decide for yourself. And of course I gave my opinion at the end.

My Dad graduated from Tech in 1981 and I’ve been attending Virginia Tech sporting events since I first moved to Blacksburg in 1988. I myself graduated in 2008 with a Communication degree.
