ACC Schedule Breakdown: Mean Girls Edition
As the United States marches towards independence day this upcoming weekend, the Atlantic Coast Conference decided to set the fireworks off a few days early! As proposed earlier this year, the ACC has moved to a 5-5-3 model for scheduling. Thus NIXING the Coastal and Atlantic divisions. Pour one out for Coastal chaos... In this model each team will have 3 teams they will have on the schedule annually for 4 seasons in a row. To fill the other 10 games out, there will be 5 home games and 5 road games that will consist of the remaining teams in a rotating fashion.
As far as Virginia Tech's draw goes, Tech landed Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, and Virginia. Some other highlights include:
- At Florida State in 2023 (Tall-a-Nasty!)
- At Louisville (Hopefully with fans barring catastrophe *Again*) in 2023
- At Carolina in 2024 (BDTBATH)
- Clemson at Home in 2024
- FSU at Home in 2025
- At Miami in 2025
- At NCST in 2025
- At Clemson in 2026
- Carolina at Home in 2026 (BDTBATH)
- Miami at Home in 2026
