The Hokies welcome the Purdue Boilermakers to Blacksburg this weekend. It's the second meeting in recent history between the two teams and the first in Lane Stadium.
Purdue University is somewhat similar to Virginia Tech, which makes this matchup pretty cool from a non-football sense. Both institutions are proud centers of engineering and innovation located in small rural towns. And just like Virginia Tech, Purdue is steeped with the kind of whacky and whimsical traditions that make college football so special.
This week I was joined by Ryan and Andrew of the Boiler Report to learn more about Purdue's giant drum, the Boilermaker Special, and some place called Neon Cactus.
