Chip in to help students
"As the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt lives and livelihoods around the world, many Virginia Tech students are struggling to stay on track to graduation while working hard to make ends meet.
Our Student Emergency Fund provides crucial support for students who need help paying for essentials like rent, groceries, and utilities. The generosity of alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and Hokie parents makes it possible for us to respond at this unprecedented moment.
For a limited time, we’re offering a special thank-you to everyone who makes a gift of $15 or more: a piece of genuine Hokie Stone, excavated and cut at the university’s own quarry."

Sneak Peek into Localyte and the #SaveBlacksburg Campaign! (Download with Promo code SONSOFSAT)
Big News! Localyte is a new platform to help stimulate the local economy in the NRV this fall.
We are bummin' that we have to watch the Hokies play Footballery from a distance this year. Local businesses are already dealing with the pandemic and now, all of us fans and alumni aren’t coming to town. They need our help. Without us coming to town, it’s $80M of economic shortfall for local businesses. But the good news is that a few local residents – along with the Downtown Blacksburg Initiative and the Blacksburg Partnership have put together something to help.
The #SaveBlacksburg campaign is officially launching this Friday, 10/16, and you can download the Localyte app on the app store!
Download the app and you can find all your favorite local businesses and you can purchase e-gift cards right there. One single app to buy, store, and use those gift cards. The cash proceeds go directly to your favorite business and you get to use it when you can come back into town.
Are you a local business or do you know a local business who would like to connect with out-of-town fans, alumni, and parents. Watch and find out how Localyte can help! For full video: https://t.co/Ys3hOgfHaA pic.twitter.com/CwpJ7pIuyR
