Canes Crash Homecoming | Miami 20 - VT 14

Virginia Tech welcomed the Miami Hurricanes to Blacksburg on Homecoming weekend for the 31st consecutive contest between the Hokies and Hurricanes. After a dominant first half by Miami, the Hokies were able to make it interesting down the stretch by pulling within one score in the waning minutes and needed just one stop for a chance to get the ball and steal a win. Although Tech forced two consecutive 3rd downs, Miami was able to convert on both and finish the afternoon in victory formation.

Despite the loss, Tech had several bright spots. Most notably the performances of Mansoor Delane and Cam Johnson. The two freshman were thrown into the fire and made an immediate impact... And football aside, a large time had by all and some incredible foliage all around the New River Valley.
