Catching up with Danny Coale | LOCK$ of Saturday Week 10

By Pat Finn | November 06
Danny Coale

STILL OPEN!

Pat and Grayson were thrilled to hear that Danny Coale's calendar was OPEN for an interview this week!

Danny Coale is one of the most storied Wide Receivers in Virginia Tech history. From Lexington, Virginia, Danny was a fan favorite during his time as a Hokie due to his admirable leadership, great hands, and ability to ALWAYS be open. See for yourself below.

Statistically, Danny is the 4th highest ranked receiver of all time at VT, with 157 receptions, over 2500 yards and 8 touchdowns. He spent the majority of his senior year (2011) as the first-string punter! Danny won 2 ACC championships and was drafted by the Cowboys in the 2012 NFL draft and now lives in the Pittsburgh area, working at PNC Bank.

2012 Sugar Bowl

Danny is most famously known for his incredible touchdown catch in the 2012 Sugar Bowl to cap off a 9 reception, 137 yard evening. The touchdown was inexplicably overturned, but every Hokie AND Michigan fan will tell you - Danny Coale Caught That Ball!
