Double Header: The Zach Mackey and Crawford & Power Interview

Happy Thursday. We hope the ending of your week is going well and you're getting more and more excited for college football with each passing day.

Today we've got a double header interview with the new voice of Virginia Tech men's basketball Zach Mackey and country music duo Crawford & Power. Zach Mackey was kind enough to join us nearly a month ago for the first time, but due to technical difficulties beyond our control, we had to record a second time. We aren't too shaken up about it, given the fact that Zach was able to recall his experience at ACC Media Day in Charlotte, NC. For those of you who don't know, Zach will also be involved with football as a sideline reporter, working directly alongside Bill Roth and Mike Burnop. Virginia Tech football has never had something like this before, and it will be great to have that new perspective.

On the back nine of today's episode, we were joined by Crawford & Power, a country music duo from southwest Virginia. Ethan Power and Jake Crawford are two musicians who absolutely love the Hokies. The duo has opened for the likes of Luke Combs, Travis Tritt, Willie Nelson and Cody Johnson. They are currently writing music in Nashville and draw a lot of inspiration from their southwestern Virginia roots, times spent in Blacksburg, and maybe one or two many Rails at Top of the Stairs. As they continue to grow, we wanted to put Hokie Nation onto their music as it is perfect for a tailgate on a Saturday afternoon.
