Well y'all, here we are. Pat, Bill and I had just recorded our podcast on Monday evening. We had gotten back from a delicious dinner in San Diego, and we though that two Hokie basketball wins and a football win were good enough for us. That seemed like the perfect amount of news to cover for one podcast. And then at 7 am PST on Tuesday morning, all of our phones started buzzing like a hornets' nest. Pat was sleeping on the couch in Billy Ray's loft and woke me up.

Pat said, "Grayson, check Twitter."

And I did. And I saw the news. Virginia Tech had agreed to mutually part ways with head coach Justin Fuente.

Look y'all, we were all kind of surprised. I honestly didn't think anything was going to happen until December, but our Athletic Director knew that it was time to pull the plug. At least the seniors had one final game with their head coach and were able to pull out a big win over Duke at home.

So on today's episode, we briefly address going forward to start the show. We then carry on per usual with our reactions to Hokie basketball, the football game, upcoming Virginia Tech sporting events, and some other exciting news. Enjoy!

We'll be pressing record on a Miami preview tomorrow!
