Emily Gray Joins the Show! | Upper 9T Podcast

Emily Gray was an attacking mid for Virginia tech women's soccer from 2018 through 2021. During her time in the program, she recorded 27 goals and 24 assists, totaling 78 career points throughout 69 game appearances, in which she started each game. In her final season, she led the team in points with 12 goals and 8 assists.

Her statistics earned her two All-ACC honors and three United soccer coaches' all-Atlantic region selections. Along with her stellar performances on the field, off the field she also earned the 2021 United soccer coaches scholar all-American third team. Her impressive career with the program led to her becoming the #3 draft pick in the NWSL draft with NC Courage. In her first season with NC Courage she appeared in 7 total matches, 4 of them were in the challenge cup, and tallied 2 assists. She also appeared in the challenge cup final with her team which they won!

Her resume speaks for herself as she is the highest NWSL draft pick and one of the top point earners in Virginia Tech women’s soccer program history.
