On this week's episode, Pat and myself sat down with Assistant Director of Broadcast Services Evan Hughes. This is Evan's second time joining the podcast, and a lot has happened since he last joined the show. If you don't already know by now, Evan won the Jim Nantz Award, which is annually presented to the top collegiate broadcaster in the United States of America. Big deal!

Evan often times doesn't give himself enough credit, which is why we're here to do it for him. He's currently in his first season calling games for the Virginia Tech women's basketball team and will call baseball games at English Field this spring. In this episode, we asked Evan about his favorite broadcasters, why this women's basketball team is special, his experience calling games thus far, and how he thinks the rest of the winter and spring sports will go for the Hokies.

Evan's energy is contagious, and you'll very much feel that in this episode. Happy Thursday everybody! As Coach Mike Young would say, "We got cold drinks waitin."
