NC State Preview | Special Guest Jon Laaser

The Hokies are *supposed* to play football on Saturday night and it is finally time to jump into our first game preview of the 2020 season. Jon Laaser, AKA "The Voice of the Hokies" makes his illustrious return to the podcast since we kicked it 6 months ago back when quarantine started *Link* to talk through the matchup between VT and NC State.

In this podcast we kick it off with some Hokie History! Father time, Pat, highlights the last few matchups vs the Wolfpack, overall record, and other tidbits surrounding the matchup. Most recently, a 3 touchdown quarter by Isaiah Ford and HUGE win under the lights at Lane back in 2015.

You may remember the last time we were joined by Laze, we decided to share some of our favorite "Laze-isms" that we thought would be a great fit for the upcoming season.

We figured after 6 months we were due for some fresh material, so during our roster breakdown we provided some new "Laze-isms" while Jon gave some fantastic insight into the opposing roster and what to expect ahead of kickoff.

To take us home, we took some time to highlight the incredible work Jon and Mike Burnop have done over at Tech Talk Live and Hokie Pod. In the most recent episode they were joined by Coach Fuente to discuss how he and the team have been handling these unprecedented challenges and finding ways to stick together and prepare for the season. This season will also include a brand new look at the broadcasting booth in "Behind the Mic".
