Pittsburgh Preview

This weekend, the Hokies travel to Pittsburgh, PA where they are set to face the Pittsburgh Panthers for the 22nd time since 1993. In 2020 and 2021, the Panthers have beaten the Hokies both at home and in the artist formerly known as Heinz Field (Acrisure Stadium now). It's a clean slate, and an opportunity for this team to get a win in a stadium with new name.

Unfortunately, odds aren't exactly in Virginia Tech's favor right now. Given the results of the last couple of weeks, it's hard to pick the Hokies over the Panthers. Bill and I sat down to break down the Pittsburgh offensive weapons, where they stand on defense, individual match ups, and what Pat Narduzzi has managed to build in his time as the head coach there.

On a brighter note, there was one really awesome moment on Hokie Twitter this week (that hasn't been much fun recently), where Virginia Tech basketball stand out Darius Maddox showed maturity and growth as a student athlete. We could all learn a lesson or two from Darius in the hard times. We've posted the link to that tweet below. If you haven't seen it, be sure to check it out.

We're in the thick of the growing pains Hokies. Hang in there and keep your heads held high. Support never wavers in the good time and the bad. Go Hokies!
