Hokies in Hampton Roads - k5k: A Run for Kendra is a 5k event that raises money for college bound students who have lost a parent to cancer. The scholarships go to Hampton Roads students as well as Virginia Tech students. The run is in honor of Kendra Atherton, who graduated from Virginia Tech, and lost her battle to cancer in 2012. Over the past 10 years we have raised $120,000 for our scholarship fund.
