It's June!

Which means it's officially Sons of Summertime. Cold drinks are waitin' on the weekends, the grills are out, the boats are in the water, and all three Sons are on this week's podcast. All is well.

In this week's episode, we start off with some Hokie Headlines. Typically we find it's better to start off with the bad news, and this week's bad news is that the Lady Hokies fell to the Florida Gators this past weekend in the NCAA Super Regional. It's post season sports and these things can most certainly happen. That said, there is so much to look forward to in this softball program, and we will most certainly be back next season. We also want to wish our seniors all the best as they move on to the next chapter in their lives. You all embody the Virginia Tech spirit, and we love you dearly.

In another dugout, the baseball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament as the #4 seed, and will host a regional for the second time in program history. Here's to many home run hammer appearances in the coming weeks!

To cap off the episode, we dive into two different segments. The first is the "Three Wishes" segment, in which @VTfootballGrad proposed the following:

The next segment is the revitalized "Life Advice," which we've tried to figure out how to properly navigate for quite some time. We think we've finally gotten it down though. Each week we will choose a topic of the college experience at Virginia Tech, and read submissions from fellow Sons and Daughters, offer our own takes, and have a conversation around said topic. We're excited about the new direction of Life Advice, and our first discussion was a lot of fun.

Lastly, there is some news that came today on Twitter that we didn't get to cover in this episode. But let it be known that Virginia Tech men's basketball standout and 2022 ACC Champion Justyn Mutts will be returning to Blacksburg for another season. The announcement is officially official per Justyn's Twitter account!

It feels good to back in the swing of things. Enjoy the episode and enjoy your short week at work! Go Hokies!
