The Macho Harris Episode

Y'all, today is an awesome day.

This interview is special for a lot of different reasons, and one we've been trying to make happen since the day we started pressing record.

Yesterday, we got to chat with a Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Famer Macho Harris to catch up about his recruitment, why he chose to call Blacksburg home, his career in maroon and orange and his life post graduation.

For some younger listeners who might not know much about Macho, you have to understand what era of Virginia Tech football the man comes from. He played on two #1 overall ranked defenses ('05/'06) alongside some of the greatest talent that Bud Foster ever coached. He won two ACC Championships back to back ('07/'08) and capped his career with an Orange Bowl victory over Cincinnati. On top of all of that, Macho personified what it meant to be a part of the Lunch Pail Defense: a hard nosed football player who would make you pay for every error.
