Hokies Acquire In-State 2022 LB
The 2022 recruiting class is seemingly picking up some late steam to finish up the year's recruiting cycle. We see the Hokies pull in in-state 2022 linebacker Reid Pulliam this time. Pulliam currently attends Life Christian Academy in Colonial Heights, Virginia.
Pulliam made his decision this Thursday with posts headlining his commitment to the Hokies on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The last official measurements for Reid Pulliam came in at 6-3 for height and 220 pounds for weight. Pulliam has been seen playing many positions on the field, especially with his size and versatility. However, you will find that his best spot on the field would be that linebacker spot. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him take up more of a middle linebacker role, like Tremaine Edmunds, with some speed that can elevate him. His size also allows him to break through the line on blitzes designed either for the outside gaps or even the inside gaps.
On the 247 Sports site, it is shown that Pulliam holds no current rating or ranking. But with evaluations still being made through the 2022 recruiting cycle, expect this to change.
The recruitment of Reid Pulliam picked up when the Hokies offered him June of this year. We saw the Virginia native break his final schools down to three schools: Virginia Tech, Duke, and Maryland. And for the longest time, Pulliam was slated to end up at Durham to be a Blue Devil. However, something internally happened at Duke, and the Hokies capitalized. The Virginia Tech staff wasted no time in acquiring already-committed D'Andre Martin's teammate at LCA.
Pulliam will now become the twenty-fourth commit of the 2022 recruiting class. He also gets the Hokies over the hump to ten kids of the class coming from their home state of Virginia. The Hokies are almost to their cap for the 2022 class and it is looking to be a wild ending to this year's recruiting cycle.
