It looks like #HardHatXXII has begun for the Hokies with a commitment from 2022 QB/ATH Devin Farrell. The new Hokie commit made his announcement via Twitter on Thursday, just around noon.

Farrell comes out of Milton High School in Alpharetta, Georgia in an area that the Hokies have been recruiting pretty heavily as of recently. Farrell is listed as a 3-star quarterback by Rivals, and is soon to get a ratings bump with his recent commitment. The dual-threat quarterback is also listed to be 6'0 tall and 190 pounds, with plenty of time to grow in size before his Blacksburg arrival.

The Hokies offered Farrell only days ago on February 4th. A top-list never appeared to be released by the quarterback, but the Hokies beat out programs such as Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, and Georgia Tech for Farrell's commitment.

With the first commitment of the 2022 class out of the way for Virginia Tech, the Hokies now look to keep adding onto the momentum that Farrell has brought. And with some of the buzz going around, the Hokies may be seeing another commitment coming sooner rather than later. However, for now, welcome Devin Farrell to the Hokie family.
