P Bryce LaFollette on Virginia Tech visit

Once again, Beamer Ball has struck for the Hokies in this 2022 Recruiting Class. This time we see the commitment of 5-Star Punter Bryce LaFollette. The Maryland native made his choice to become a Hokie on Wednesday afternoon through an announcement on his social media accounts.

In his last round of measurements, Bryce came in at 6-3 for height and weighing in at 200 pounds. And already LaFollette is averaging just around the size that the average NFL punter would come in at, which is impressive in its own. The Maryland native is ranked as the 14th best punter in the nation and ranked 1st out of his home state.

A small excerpt out of his Kohl's Professional Camp Profile reads, "He has the talent to play at a high level in college football and has many of the tools that college coaches are looking for in a punter. His coordination is outstanding for his age. LaFollette is ahead of his age technically and will only get better in college!". This evaluation only points towards good things for the 2022 punter as he joins the Hokie's special teams unit.

LaFollete joins an extensive line of highly rated punters from Virginia Tech such as Oscar Bradburn and Peter Moore. He will also join forces with 2022 commit John Love, who will be on the kicking side of the special teams unit. Welcome Bryce to the Hokie family as he adds onto the tradition of strong special teams in Blacksburg.
