Harrison Saint-Germain takes in the TD for Westfield

And as seemingly as the rumors broke about a possible commitment from in-state TE Harrison Saint-Germain, the Hokies have landed the 2022 recruit. Harrison announced his commitment to the Hokies via Twitter on Monday morning.

The 2022 TE will now join Devin Farrell in being part of the sole two recruits to officially have committed to the 2022 Hokie Recruiting Class. The future connection between the pair appearing to already be off to a great start, with the two exchanging words on social media about the latest commitment from Harrison.

Harrison is listed at 230 pounds and stands at 6'4 to help gain him his TE frame. He is listed on Rivals as a 3-Star recruit playing out of Westfield High School in Northern Virginia. Some of the schools on Harrison's offer list included Wake Forest, Old Dominion, and Yale.

Keep in mind that Harrison is legacy to the University of Virginia, as his father attended the school. However, with UVA providing a lack-luster push for the 2022 TE, the Hokies pushed even more to gain the commitment of Harrison. The primary coaches that helped in the recruitment of the tight end were Tight Ends Coach James Shibest and Assistant Director of Player Personnel Beau Davidson.

The decision for the tight end to commit to the Hokies became even clearer when on Saturday UVA landed a commitment from another 3-Star TE. And with Harrison's two options now narrowed down to one, it became an easy pick for the him to come to Virginia Tech.

With football season starting up in the state of Virginia today, it will be interesting to see how Harrison and many other young athletes will perform given such a long offseason. We wish Harrison the best of luck this season and welcome him to the Hokie family.
