Jersey #1: Virginia Tech vs Saint Bonaventure in the Basketball Hall of Fame Shootout (2021-2022)

In 26 minutes, Cattoor dropped 21 points and five rebounds, shooting 6-of-7 from the field, including a perfect 5-of-5 from three-point land. Tech blew out the Bonnies 86-49 and would give a hint of what was to come later in the special 2021-2022 season for Hunter Cattoor and the Hokies.

Jersey #2: Virginia Tech vs UNC in the Hokies ACC home opener (2022-2023)

It was a great showing from the Hokies and Hunter Cattoor in VT's ACC home opener against No. 18 UNC, as Cattoor put up a solid 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including three makes from beyond the arc. Not only was it a great game with the Hokies winning 80-72, but they did it donning beautiful Orange Script jerseys.

Jersey #3: Virginia Tech vs. Boise St in the ESPN Events Invitational, Hunter Cattoor sets the Hokies MBB all-time 3PT FG record (2023-2024)

In the 82-75 win against Boise St. this past season, Hunter Cattoor provided an offensive spark to keep the Hokies in the contest, as he nailed his first three triples of his game and finished with 19 points, making 5-of-10 total threes. Cattoor also broke the Virginia Tech all-time 3PT FG record, passing A.D. Vassallo, who held the prior record.

From the moment Cattoor put on a Virginia Tech uniform, fans knew what he was here to do: drain a ton of threes. In his five years at Virginia Tech, Cattoor amassed 332 made threes and never shot under 40% from beyond the arc in any season of his storied career.

Jersey #4: Virginia Tech vs Boston College, Hunter Cattoor becomes Virginia Tech's MBB all-time leader in games played (2023-2024)

Game 137 was the key number for Hunter Cattoor this past season in the 76-71 win against Boston College, as he broke the Hokies MBB record for most career games played.

And although it was game 137 for Cattoor, he showed that he hadn't slowed down a bit as he put up a team-high 17 points in 36 minutes, nailing three shots from long distance in the process.

The Eagles had given the Hokies and Head Coach Mike Young problems, as Young was 0-5 against the Eagles in his Hokie tenure, until some timely buckets and clutch free throws down the stretch from Cattoor ended the BC curse once and for all.

Jersey #5: Worn during Hunter Cattoor's fifth and final year at Virginia Tech (2023-2024)

4,421 minutes, 73.7 hours, and 3.1 days—all in the span of a record-breaking 152 games played for Hokies men's basketball show the special commitment Cattoor had to his team, his program, and Hokie Nation.

The 2022 Everett Case Award winner (ACC Tournament MVP), ACC All-Tournament First Team, and ACC Champion Hunter Cattoor exited Virginia Tech as one of the greats and will always be remembered as a LEGEND!

Born in Chesapeake and raised into a family of hokies, Virginia Tech is where I call home now. Attended New River Community College as a freshman and now a sophomore at VT as a transfer student in Fall 2022. Majoring in Sports Media and Analytics, I’m excited for what’s to come for me as a student at VT.

Virginia Tech sports has always been something I have been a fan of. From afternoons in Lane Stadium to nights in Cassell Coliseum, I have loved every second of it no matter the outcome.

One of my first memories of being a Tech fan was our upset win against Ohio State 35-21 where CB Donovan Riley had the game sealing pick-6. More recently, beating UNC in 6 overtimes, our run to the sweet 16, and of course winning the men’s basketball ACC Championship with upsets over UNC and Duke.
